The City of Farmington Police Department strives to be an innovative and progressive organization in order to meet the changing demands of the city. The department keeps the city safe through education, community partnerships and aggressive patrol service.
All officers uphold the following code of conduct:
- Be Ethical
- Be Respectful
- Be Professional
- Be Community-oriented
The department averages more than 5,400 calls for service per year. A call for service could be an auto accident, to assist the Farmington Fire Rescue or the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department, or to provide crime prevention for the citizens or businesses.
In addition to patrol officers, the department also houses the Code Enforcement and Animal Control division for the City of Farmington. The complaints or concerns on property maintenance and appearance as well as animal control issues are investigated by a code enforcement officer.
